The Museo di Storia Contemporanea(Museum of Contemporary History) is presently closed due to a complete renewal.
The management of the Civiche Raccolte Storiche(Historical Collections of the City of Milan) is working on a project aimed at making the future exhibit closer to the changing interest of the public.
The introduction of new technologies should make the comprehension of the Museum much simpler.
In the meanwhile the Museum's spaces will feature temporary exhibits related to problems and aspects of the contemporary society. The Museum's last room - featuring portraits and sculptures of the protagonists of the two world wars - will be kept open to the public. The conference Room will also be open, and will host many activities - presentation of books, meetings, debates, various other events- - organized by the Civiche Raccolte Storiche (Historical Collections of the city of Milan).

Il Museo di Storia
Contemporanea ospita attualmente un programma regolare di mostre temporanee
dedicate a tematiche inerenti la storia e la cultura della realtà
contemporanea.
La Direzione delle Civiche Raccolte Storiche sta infatti elaborando un
progetto di allestimento che renderà la futura esposizione permanente
più vicina agli interessi emersi nel pubblico in questi ultimi
anni e che, attraverso l'introduzione di nuove tecnologie, possa rendere
più facile la fruizione del Museo.
Nel frattempo gli spazi del Museo sono quindi prevalentemente usati come
centro di esposizioni temporanee.
L'ultima sala del museo resta allestita in modo permanente con ritratti
e sculture dei protagonisti delle due guerre mondiali. La sala conferenze
ospita periodicamente le iniziative di presentazione di libri, conferenze,
dibattiti e manifestazioni.
